On Sunday, May 17 from 11am to 4pm the first IWA Modena Family Day took place at Club Meridiana in Casinalbo. This was the first family event of the Association, since its foundation in December 2014, and a joyful occasion for the families to spend together some lovely hours on a sunny spring day.
President Simone opened the event with a warm welcome speech and Sofia from the event team briefly summarized the highlights of the day. The welcome drink and snack was a good occasion to introduce husbands and kids. A skilled wizard entertained the kids with his magic tricks also directly involving the children as his assistants.
After the magic show everybody moved out to the lush green park, offering also a big playground for the kids, and enjoyed the warm and pleasant summer weather. The events team organized some games for kids and adults who challenged themselves during games including a sack race and a tug-of-war.
At lunch time a buffet with delicious Italian and international dishes was served. It was a very relaxing and friendly atmosphere while the families were sitting and chatting together.
After lunch there was another magic highlight when the kids (some even together with their mum or dad) were magically sucked inside enormous soap bubbles. The afternoon passed with relaxed talks and further games in the garden. The children had lots of fun during the treasure hunt, organized by Kathrin, when big and little ones searched together behind trees and bushes for clues and together solved the riddles all related to Modena.
The first IWA Modena Family Day was a great success and lots of fun both for kids and adults. Thanks a lot to the event team whose great efforts made all this possible, and of course to all the families that participated in this fantastic event!!!
